YOON CHEE KHUEN

YOON CHEE KHUEN// .ids kuala lumpur. Yoon Chee Khuen, graduated from University of Newcastle in 1993. He has 19 years of working experience at all levels of the architectural and construction industry. He began his vocation in 1993 at Jurubena Bertiga Internasional where he completed the Capital Square Tower project. He then moved to RSP Architects, Planners and Engineers in Singapore where he worked on projects including Capital Tower Building, Tat Lee Bank Redevelopment and Bangalore Technology Park. He then brought back this wealth of international experience to Malaysia where he joined EKD-KMZ-Dragages for the KL Sentral Railway Station and oversaw the design coordination and also the completion of the project as Resident Architect.

He carried on with the role of Resident Architect with Veritas Architects on the Rawang-Ipoh Electrified Double Track Project and completed the anchor project with the refurbishment of the classical Ipoh Railway Project.

With the completion of this project in 2004, he then expanded his experience with SN Low and Associates on the Proton Centre of Excellence with the Proton Car company and University Malaysia Sabah in East Malaysia where he worked on the Convocation Hall and Performing Arts Centre. He then joined NWKA Architects Sdn Bhd in 2006 and spent the next five years as Senior Architect where he led the PAM Gold Award winning Taylor’s Lakeside Campus for Taylor’s University among many educational and commercial projects. In September 2011, he joined IDS International Design Studio as head of Kuala Lumpur Office.
